How a SOOF lift helped a Charlotte, NC patient
(The following is a dramatization.) Mrs. Hendricks wanted to make her face, and especially her eyes, look younger, and she had not heard of a SOOF lift. She first went in for an operation on the face and upper and lower eyelids.
The first operation
Before Mrs. Hendricks underwent the first operation, the surgeon explained to her that the reason her eyes were not looking as young as they once had was that the suborbicularis oculi fat under her eyes had migrated down slightly, creating a puffy look. To clear this up, the surgeon wanted to remove the SOOF entirely. Mrs. Hendricks needed very little persuading to remove any sort of fat, but when the operation was over and the swelling had gone down, she was disappointed to discover that her eyes had a hollow, slightly wrong look that they never had when she was younger.
The second operation
To get this fixed, Mrs. Hendricks went in for a second operation as soon as she fully recovered. This one would involve removing a SOOF-sized lump of fat from elsewhere in the body and putting it where the SOOF had once been.
At first, this approach seemed to work, but then, on her left eye, the implanted fat began to sink again. Worse, on her right eye the weight of the new fat was just a little too much and had started to pull her lower eyelid open. This needed to be fixed right away.
The third operation
