For some people, mild swelling persists for several weeks after surgery, while others see swelling resolve in just 7 days. Bruising normally disappears in 7 to 10 days and patients may use makeup during the first week to hide discoloration. If upper eyelid fullness is accompanied by depression of the eyebrows, then a segmental endoscopic brow lift should be considered.
