For the next few weeks, he or she should not do any serious exercise, heavy lifting or anything else that would raise blood pressure, which will be a problem if he or she is into sports. Garments that have to be pulled over the head should also be avoided, which is harder in winter when sweaters are so comfortable. He or she should avoid blowing his or her nose.
