Lateral Brow Lift

Dr. Freeman is Featured In

Lateral Brow Lift Surgery

A lateral brow lift surgery is for the heaviness of the lateral brow only and a normal medial brow.

The surgical technique that Dr. Freeman recommends will depend on factors such as the position of the eyebrows, the thickness of the patient’s skin, and the strength of their brow depressors.

A Lateral Brow Lift surgery is one of the brow lift choices. Dr. Freeman chooses between endoscopic brow lifts and uses a Segmental Brow Lift approach so that the results fit each person, individually.

The Segmental Brow Lift, invented by Dr. Freeman creates more predictable and natural-looking results with higher patient satisfaction.

The amount of excess upper eyelid skin will be reduced by the endoscopic brow lift. Some patients elect several months after their brow lift to have a completion upper lid blepharoplasty. In Dr. Freeman’s experience, only about 8% of brow patients elect to take this step. Should you be one of those patients, a completion upper lid blepharoplasty is usually done under local anesthesia and bruising is minimal.

Excess height of the hairline can also be addressed during an endoscopic brow lift However, this would require a combination of a trichophilic incision, combined with the endoscope. Should you feel that you are interested in lowering your hairline, discuss this with Dr. Freeman during your consultation. Hairline height will remain relatively unchanged otherwise. Lateral brow lift patients have thinner skin with minimal to no aging of the midbrow and minimal mild lateral hooding.
