Fix deviated septum in Charlotte NC
Time to get somebody to fix my deviated septum
I’m looking for a surgeon in Charlotte NC to fix my deviated septum. I’ve had it since the skateboarding accident when I was thirteen. It puts a little crinkle in the bridge of my nose and makes the whole thing tilt very slightly to the right. It also gives me a bad case of sleep apnea, which means I snore “like a wood chipper choking on a load of teak,” as my ex-roommate put it. I also keep getting nosebleeds and sinus infections, and I’m getting very tired of those.
The procedure the facial plastic surgeon is going to use to fix my deviated septum is called a septoplasty, a kind of rhinoplasty. The surgeon’s going to start by looking inside my nose with an endoscope, which is this thing with a tiny little light and camera that doctors use to get pictures of the insides of human body parts — even small parts like the nose. This’ll let him or her figure out how to do the operation.
I’m told that in some cases, all the surgeon needs to do is inject a little filler along the bridge of the nose to sort of smooth out the lines. That’s not going to work in my case. I’ll probably need what they call an open rhinoplasty to fix my deviated septum, so I’m going to look for the best rhinoplasty surgeon I can find in the area to do the operation.
Charlotte’s most experienced rhinoplasty surgeon
Dr. Sean Freeman is the best rhinoplasty surgeon in Charlotte NC. He’s been certified by two different surgery boards, the American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery) and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He’s done only facial plastic surgery, including nose jobs, since 1988. If a nose is crooked, he considers fixing it to be a part of the procedure.
