Brow lifts help people fight signs of aging
Brow lift recovery may not be at the top of Charlotte, NC residents’ minds when they decide to have surgery. Between finding the right doctor, preparing for surgery, and saving up the funds you’ll need for surgery, the recovery part of the equation may fall to the wayside. But, it is an important part of the surgical process and you should be sure to plan for it prior to having your surgery.
A brow lift helps lift the face above the eyebrows
Before worrying about brow lift recovery, you’ll need to be sure that it is the right procedure for you. With a plethora of facial plastic surgery options, determining which will give you the results you want can be challenging.
A brow lift focuses on the top portion of your face, from the eyes up. This procedure lifts the brows back to their normal position, which in turn, relieves droopy eyes and eliminates or reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes.
It’s important to know your surgeon will be able to make recommendations on what surgery will give you the best results. If you think a brow lift is for you, but aren’t sure, schedule a consultation and ask.
Recovery can take a few weeks
Brow lift recovery can take a few weeks. Most patients will be able to resume work and activities within ten days to two weeks, but your experience may vary slightly based on the type of technique used to perform your surgery.
Immediately after surgery, you will experience bruising and swelling. Be sure to take pain medication as directed by your surgeon and keep your head elevated for a few days. Your physician may also recommend you ice the areas as well.
Incisions are generally removed within two weeks. But, before that, it’s important you keep your incisions clean and don’t bump them. You’ll need to take care when brushing or washing your hair and will need to refrain from these activities during your brow lift recovery.
