Temporary facelift comparison for Charlotte, NC patients

Patients may wish to have a facelift for many reasons

Temporary facelift can help stave off signs of aging for many Charlotte, NC patients. As people age and begin to notice signs of aging on their face, they may wish to undergo a facelift procedure to help them rejuvenate their face and look more youthful. Along with wanting to fight signs of aging, a facelift can help improve patient’s self esteem. Each person’s reason for having the procedure is unique to them and will hopefully end up with the results they desired.

Temporary facelift often refers to a liquid facelift

A regular facelift, as most people think of it, is a surgical procedure that correct signs of aging. It is typically long lasting or permanent and requires quite a bit of recovery time. Some people may not be ready to commit to taking time off work and activities to undergo the surgery, or some may feel that they are only showing small signs of aging, so a full facelift isn’t needed. For these people, a temporary facelift is often a good option.

A temporary facelift usually refers to a liquid facelift. A liquid lift involves the physician using facial and dermal fillers in different areas of the face to improve its appearance and remove signs of aging. This technique usually lasts anywhere between six months to two years. Due to its temporary nature, some people may have multiple treatments to maintain their results or may go ahead and have a surgical facelift later down the road.

There are many benefits to having a liquid lift as opposed to a surgical one

There are many benefits a temporary facelift such as a liquid lift instead of a surgical one. Surgical facelifts require weeks of time to recover, forcing patients to take time off work and away from activities. A liquid procedure has a fast recovery time. Patients do not need to take any down time and can return to most activities and work immediately following treatment. Doctors do ask that patients refrain from strenuous exercising for 24 hours after their appointment.

Another reason people may favor a liquid procedure is the time it takes to see results. With a surgical lift, patients will need to wait weeks or even months to see results as the incisions and face heal. With a temporary lift, patients can start to see results immediately. Patients will see bruising and swelling for three to five days afterward, but as this fades, patients will start to see an improved version of their results.

Lastly, patients don’t have to go through the trauma of surgery with this procedure. No incisions are made, and no anesthesia is used. This often a benefit for many people who aren’t sure they want surgery and leads to the faster recovery time.
