Nasal hump removal
One of the many things rhinoplasty in Charlotte is used for is getting a hump removal from my nose. The hump in question can be an inherited trait, or it can be the result of a childhood injury. Depending on the size and contours of the nose in question and the prominence of the hump, this might not need to be done through surgery. In some cases, small quantities of injectable filler can smooth the lines of the nose enough to make the hump no longer visible.
In other cases, hump removal from my nose requires surgery. Sometimes this can be done by way of the nostrils, in a closed rhinoplasty. Other times, an incision must be made in the skin. Nasal packing is not usually needed. After surgery, there will probably be some swelling, a certain amount of bruising and possibly some numbness. All of these effects will go away before too long. The bruising will fade within a week to ten days, while the swelling can last for several weeks. You’ll have to wait for the swelling to go down before you find out what your new nose looks like. Hump removal is one of the many changes a nose job can make.
